# Al Biernat's, Oak Lawn - the same chef since 1998

Al Biernat's · Dallas

The steakhouse at 4217 Oak Lawn Avenue opened on June 29, 1998, and some of its staff have been there since. Executive chef Miguel Cauich has run this kitchen from roughly the opening. Lexis Nutt, the company's first female general manager, took over the floor in 2023. In 2022, brunch regular Donna Richardson brought her mother's chicken-and-waffles recipe onto the brunch menu.
